I have been using Blogger as host for my blog Visual Natural
since 2006. It has been an interesting experience, but also one that
has added some grey hairs to the very many I already have. Blogger is
very flexible when it comes to design, but it also likes to decide many
things for you which you rather would decide for yourself. For instance,
they “auto-enhance” and change the photos you upload whether you like it
or not. And I don’t. The feature can’t be turned off unless you join
their less than successful Facebook-clone called Google+. Which I have no
intention of doing.
So now I am on WordPress - visualnorway.wordpress.com. With a new and sharp pencil and a blank sheet ready to go. And I hope many of you will drop by - you are all very welcome.
Have a nice week!

I have found G+ to be a lot of fun, there are some great photographers, like yourself, who use it. On the down side, it's another form of social media that can use a lot of time
Ønsker deg velkommen!
Good to make the change, may do the same thing myself soon. Thanks so much for the update, Rune! Hope you have a great new week! Looking forward to more of your pics!!!
Det er deg jeg følger ... blogger eller wordpress spiller ingen rolle. Jeg irriterer meg over det samme, Rune, men holder ut med blogger om enn så lenge.
Ha en super ny uke!

Oh. I hadn't realised the photos were auto-enhanced if you loaded them directly to the blog. I thought that was only if you loaded them directly onto Google+ (which I never do). I must check that out. I have a convoluted arrangement with Google+ which means I keep my old Google profile instead of people landing up on Google+ when they click my picture, even though I have entered my details into Google+ because I didn't like the idea that people would come across my page t(automatically generated) and find it empty and not how to find me from there. I like Blogger but not Google+ and am cross that Google has tangled all the products together. I still like the versatility of Blogspot though and am feel comfortable with it (so far).
Good luck with the new venture. I'll go and explore!
Looking forward to seeing this.
I can understand your frustration ... I upload my photos to a different hosting site and use links from there in my blog, so I have not been impacted by the Auto-Enhance, but I know some bloggers who have. I wish websites would just stop thinking they know what is best for us.
I'll follow you everywhere !:o)
I'll follow you over and keep an eye on how it goes. I have my own frustrations with blogger. If I had encountered auto enhance I would already be gone!
I look forward to following your great photos on your new blog, RuneE. I have visited there just now, but don't see anywhere to comment - maybe you have not set that up yet?
Spennende, iler inn!!!
All set. I found you.
Didn't know about auto-enhance either. I see no difference but then my photos aren't near as good as yours. I'm on my way to your new site.
Sorry to see you leave Blogger as I have some loyalty there, but Wordpress is good, too. I hope you find it to be what you expect. Some have moved there then moved back.

Blogger isn't so bad, but Google has been annoying to me. Looking forward to seeing more of your photos.
