I found this bench today by Alvøen Hovedgaard in Bergen, Norway today. It has been well used and seems to be in need of a lick of paint, but could still be a friend in need for sore feet.
Paulie (PERBS) collects benches - I hope she will enjoy this one.
The metal work is just gorgeous! Thanks for placing it on your blog. I will link to it from the Benches blog so others might see it also. If one were tired and needed to sit a spell, no one would gripe about the worn wood/paint job. Maybe they found it and plan to restore it when they get time. It would be neat to stop back there in another season and see if they have restored it. . . thanks again -- was a nice surprise!

Policy on Awards
I have like most other bloggers received a number of Awards during the time I have been blogging. In the process of cleaning up my blog I have moved them to a separate post. If I should receive any more they will be added at the end of this post. I have received them in the spirit they have been given and are grateful for them all. I will continue to do so, but I will not pass them on.

Lovely, lovely
I love its finish and pattern, as well as the mixed materials <3 <3 <3
Aye, that sure looks grand old seat for an old'un to sit on.lol.
Love it! I sat on a railway bench today, at Grosmont! LOL!
I think I might be rather cautious about sitting on a bench such as this one - not unless I had a towel to put down first.
Simple, beautiful, great composition, just perfect :-)

lovely autumn leaves around it
A pretty photo indeed. I used to look for these exact ideas to sketch up on my pad of paper as I walked around... very nice.
This bench is lovely the way it is, to my eyes. But if something isn't done it will fall apart, I'm afraid. Nice photo!
