The other day I came across the old ferry M/F Bjorøy, moored at her old quay at Alvøen, in the outskirts of Bergen. She used to connect the small island of Bjorøy with Alvøen, but this connection has been replaced by a sub-sea tunnel long ago. As I was standing there, a much more modern ferry passed, M/F Prinsesse Ragnhild, bound for Denmark.

Oh, I love your perspective on this... this is awesome!!
I love taking the ferry. We have the ferry from Nelson,BC to the mainland that has to be taken because the highway ends... it's a great sail through the mountains on Kootenay Lake for 45 mins.

Beautiful work, Runee - wonderful
This is really great! Love it. I'd be interested in hearing more about that tunnel.
Wow that is amazingly beautiful. Great shot.
That's a neat shot.

This I Do...
How fine that both are on the water, giving the observers opportunity to compare and contrast.
Great shot!
Two motives in one photo.....
Beautiful!
nice game!
Just like Rocky Mountain Girl, I like the ferry rides, we have ferries on river, lake and sea, some of them quite old and antiquated.
The BC coast is similar to Norway with many inlets and Islands all reqiring ferries.
I will post some pics of our ferries
wonderful composition. well done
Wow...is that unique or What?!
Fantastic how you've captured them both!
Neato!
Awesome! What a great way to frame a photo and give it extra character at the same time.
