I associate December with colours like red for Christmas and white for snow and frost. Yellow suggests to me light, spring and summer. Yet I found this rose today in the Town Park ("Byparken") in Bergen.
In two weeks time we will have winter solstice - I take this as a symbol of the light to come.

even in winter there are still thought of summer going around...
Nice shot of the yellow rose. I think mother nature likes to fool us sometimes.
Beautiful promise of the light to come.
I think Railroad Monday would be a really nice project for YOU! Why don't you start it up? The only problem I see is that railroad pictures might be hard for some folks to get (me included) but it would be a fun challenge.
Love the yellow rose, can't believe you found one, but then we are really cold here. i also like the bluish color of the leaves
I enjoyed seeing your rose still blooming when it is almost winter also.
I had a pink rose on my blog a short while ago and wondered why it was still blooming when it was December too.
Thanks for visiting my site.
A Beautiful Rose....and I see some dew drops/rain drops on it as well! So lovely! Great shot!
fantastic rose, excellent colors
Isnt it odd when you happen upon a single flower out in the freezing cold?
Thanks so much for your comment on my blog!!
