Geometrical Shapes

Modern architecture is very fond of geometrical shapes in its design. This is from a fairly new judiciary building in Bergen where angles and lines are heavily used both in the building itself and in the decoration. One might feel that the whole thing is a bit square ...

But, of course, one can add a bit of human element oneself.

Theme Day for April is triangles; this photo would be perfect for it! Practicing?

love the reflection - it brings the triangles to life.

Beautiful smooth reflecting triangles.
And no one is tempted to tag or smash them?

Some greenery here and there would be welcomed too!

The figure has a softening effect indeed, great position and reflection. Now I can see what exactly you meant by the human interest in your comment on my photo post! :)

Greatly seen and captured. That reflection of the man passing by bring the photo alive. Also interesting to see the cold world of steel, concrete and mirrors in front of the camera - and then a natural environment reflected in those mirrors.

The reflection brings the whole work to life and gives a sense of scale to it. Nice shot.

For all our flaws, we are interesting to see, our human element, among all the angles and stones of contemporary city-scapes. And this guy's got a donut to boot! What's more human than that?! Or is it a sandwich? In any case, I'm glad he's there, twice -- the reflection is a nice touch too.

Some nice reflections, shadows, light and and sharpness to it all -- even the tiled ground fits. Nice -- barbara

Moderne arkitektur er flot - og meget kantet.
Forhåbentlig bliver menneskerne aldrig ligeså kantede som deres bygninger.... ;-)

I especially like how you captured the woman's reflection, adding another dimension to the geometric figures.

Tydeligvis plassen for den som er glad i å se på seg selv, og det er dem kanskje i Bergen??

Litt av en konstruksjon, og et spennende fotoobjekt for en fotograf. Stilig at du fikk med deg fotgjengeren også!
