Life's like that - pleasant flat bits with steps in between! Nice composition. Have a good weekend.

Great shot for the day, Rune, as always!! It does look like a long climb -- my knees ache just looking at the staircase!!! Hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday season!! Merry Christmas!!

Excellent frame, seems like escalators go up!

The defined lines and shapes create a sense of quiet drama in this scene. Even love the subtle wall textures in the bottom part of the photo.

Another winner. I love the graphic lines, and the mysterious quality of those stairs.

This is a nice photo. I like it in black and white too. Just getting some pictures, in the house, with my new X100S camera but got a long way to go to be comfortable with it.

Looks like a walk around the old town would be a lot of exercise! The builders of the old European towns certainly were skilled stone masons.

It looks almost as if he is riding up on an escalator

Impressing stone wall indeed :)

a stair without beginning or end. :O The person might walk forever.

This has a lot of power. As many have said, the lines and shapes are dramatic. And I see what Birdman sees--a bleached out quality, a ghostly lack of definition. That combined with the man's erects posture, there's something spooky (and I want to say deathly) going on here. The different textures add to that sense of something very, very big happening. This is one great photo, Rune.

Stilig bilde!

Veldig stilig. Bra komponert og fin bruk av svart-hvitt. Vi var i Rothenburg sommeren 2012 og gikk selvsagt langs muren :)
