Bicycles in Germany

Bicycles seemed to be much used in Germany. This guy in Tauberbischofsheim seemed to have borrowed one from his wife - I sense a story here ...

Many tourists used bikes for transport. This one is entering one of the old gates in Rothenburg.

In Rothenburg bikes of all kinds could be found.

Early morning crossing of the street in Füssen.

I must admit that in this photo from Dinkelsbühl, the bicycles are only an excuse for showing off the car ...

Have a nice week-End!

Yes, in Germany all people use bicycle. I live in a town where it's impossible to use it..... Wish you a nice w.e.

What a neat idea for a collection, the monochrome is stunning.

I especially like 2, 4, and 5. Well done!

My wife was in Copenhagen about 18 months ago, and she still talks about the multitude of bikes there. I ride a little myself, and I see more and more bikes in the U.S., I'm glad to say. There's something almost undeniably attractive and GOOD about bikes.

How about this: it's impossible to commit evil or be ugly while riding a bike or watching a bird? Well, it's fun to say such things.

Excellent photos of bikers. Nice that you included different ages and gender. I like the older woman walking her bike across the street best. The car at the end was a nice touch. -- barbara

There are some modern bikes I have never seen in person. I have a mountain bike that I used to ride 13 miles each day but now I can't even ride around the corner so it is stored in my workshop. It is yellow with blue trim and made by Schwinn.

Love the old world stone buildings and roads! There are lots of bikers here, mostly young folks on thin wheels and in a hurry to get somewhere.

The shot in black and white with woman on bike is just wonderful.
Thank you for sharing your talent.

I love your bicycle posts! It was a previous one that got me thinking about bicycles and taking more photos of them when I'm travelling. I like all if these but especially the 2nd, 4th and 5th one.
