Autumn in Norway

I haven't shot many "autumn photos" this year. But that can of course be remedied, so here is a few showing that autumn can be wet and fascinating at the same time.

Mist and rain may hide some of the glorious colours we associate with autumn, but they are still there, only a bit of mystery has been added.

The rain may make the ground you walk on sodden and wet, but every small creek literally springs to life.

An incomplete bridge is just plain fun.

Even our local castle gets a veil of mystery and subdued colours.

Wow, these photos are gorgeous. I don't mind most and rain in autumn - they give the season a different light, much softer than the harsh glares of summer. I like your last photo the best!

lovely colours - especially the trees in the first - right now the ones opposite my window are still full of leaves have dropped enough from the bottom branches for me to glimpse through to the rough grass area behind and see some of the people that walk by - I'll get a clearer view later in the year though.

The fog really helps with color contrast, these are beautiful. I have taken very few photos. This morning was perfectly foggy, but I had to be at work for a meeting :-(

A nicely exposed set of shots; love the colour and atmospherics in the first one and the slow shutter effect on the water in the second one.

That's a lovely composition in that first shot - it's not easy to achieve but you've made it look easy! Autumn is rather grey here too, I guess that'll be heading your way.

Your photos are beautiful. The environment reminds me of my new home in the Pacific Northwest -- misty, wet and subdues colors right now. The ladder photo is unique. Nice Post -- barbara

The added element of water enchanted your photographs, for sure. What a landscape you have for choosing your compositions! Splendid pictures, I thank you for the eye candy today:)

That's a gorgeous woods, and your photos do it justice, or even flatter it. And there's a little bit of a narrative here too--forest, forest, forest, then bam! castle and town. The grey and the mist nicely tie it all together.

You live in a magical place Rune. I am glad that you share it with us. Love the bridge photo but I am a sucker for a mist shrouded castle too..

Herlig bildeserie! Flotte farger!
Kom til bergen torsdags kveld. 15 min etter landing ble Flesland stengt. Det høljet ned, torden og lyn!
Har kjøpt meg regnfrakk nå...

Very beautiful photos!
We had poor colors this year in New England. The temperatures were too warm.

I do love the mystery that fog suggests. I admit I enjoy the reds of early autumn but I also like the more subdued colours that follow. Very nice, Rune.

The first photo brings the strongest autumnal sensation to me. The contrast of the light and colours versus the haziness and greyness, very impressive!
