Summer in the City?

When the weather is nice and summer is on its way - what is better than sharing your place in the sun with a friend or three?

A lovely piece of street photography - re your comment on HydeDP - a shop like that would need planning permission for conversion to residential use - this probably wouldn't get it although originally (pre-1950s) the owners may well have lived "above the shop" - in any case this has new tenants - opening soon selling electronic cigarettes whatever they are.

En pust i bakken er vel velkomment uansett formål... Men lo høyt da jeg så det, ja det høye håret, he he :-)

God helg videre til deg Rune.

Place in the sun--but some still with jackets. I wish we had such summers.
Good they are not all sitting on the same side so the sleek bench does not tip over. :)
Happy summer to you all!

It would be good to have a nice spring, I suspect a summer is too much to hope for.

I like those special benches here!:o)
the light is beautiful when the sun appears above Bergen!

Those benches are attractive, but at first glance I thought the humans were sitting in water. Does that much sunlight get too hot in your summers?

That is a cool bench, at first, I thought it was a fountain from the reflection. I wonder what type of motorcycle the fellow n the left rides, he's got good riding gear!

I love summer - one of the best days of the year! Let's hope the sun shines for our annual pilgrimage to the Isle of Man TT Races later this week.

It looks like a lovely place to sit for a while and feel the sun.

I can't get past the seating! At first, I thought two people were sitting at the edge of a fountain...I wonder if anyone ever lies down at that bench, great for sunning...

It looks to be a delightful place to rest a few minutes. But sharing with friends?--looks to me more like total strangers ignoring each other.

Rhododendrons.

Not here (some may wonder why I speak of rhododendrons commenting in this post)--not in my own flower post--and unfortunately not in my yard. Although I see a few rhodies in our area and they are our state flower, they do not take kindly to our desert climate in Eastern Washington.

What a neat bench that is. How come no one seems to notice you are taking their photos? Is it tourist season already? ;)

9 degrees in Leipzig, 9 degrees in Vienna. I am now in Bucharest, thank God finally over 24 degrees, because I froze during the whole previous week :)))
