On Three Wheels ...

Here is another veteran MC, from the same event as the one below. No, it is not me (I can't even drive one!), but I just accidentally came upon these guys. BTW - the title of this post is in honour of a blogging and photography friend of mine who is an MC enthusiast with her own blog called On TWO Wheels. Well worth a visit.

PS Have a nice weekend!

I often was on a MC (when I was younger)but never on the side part of a side car. I'd like to try once.
This guy is looking very serious!I like the leather-like look of the clothes and cover that match very well together.
Nice week-end to you!

In the states, we refer to sidecars as 'hacks' or 'rigs' (many of my motorcycle friends own one, I do not).

This one's a beauty, but I do not recognize the manufacturer.

I love your shots of the MC and while I've never ridden one, I always wanted to!! I'm a little old for that now, but it's still a fun idea! Hope you have a great weekend, Rune!!

Now this is the exact kind of MC that I would love to have. Like the side car idea. I think this one must be an old one? I am just dreaming of course -- barbara

vroom vroom - it's the thinking man's Harley - as I kid I was a whizz on a tricycle but didn't have enough inherent balance to take to two wheels.

Sometimes, fleets of three-wheel motorbikes come down our main road. (Generally middle aged men with large bellies and long hair.) I've always thought how wonderful it would be to own one. (Or, maybe, the fleet!)

I wouldn't want to try to drive this one, but wouldn't mind taking a ride in one.

Another great shot, Rune.

straighten up and fly right!

This looks so much safer to me than two wheels at the high speeds they travel.

Skikkelig stilig, både denne og den under her! :) Det var litt av en heder, nå skal jeg jammen stikke inn til 2hjul! :)

Ha det godt så lenge! :)

If I hadn't seen the other one, with that grinning--both slyly and modestly, I think . . . . But there is something about these old vehicles, isn't there. I suppose I respond a bit more to old cars, 1930s - 60s, since I never got the cycling bug, except for bicycles, which I still ride a bit.

Cars -- when my son was approaching driving age, I bought a 1972 Chevy Impala for the two of us to share. $200. It was the ugliest pale green ever created, but had minimal rust, low mileage, ran great, and seemed as safe as a 20-year-old car could be. Best of all, after my son went to college, I sold it for $900 to a 35-ish woman, who knew cars. Before she ever turned on the ignition, she lay down on her back, in my gravel driveway, and checked out every possible thing, for maybe a half-hour. Ditto that under the hood. After a 5-minute test-drive, she was happy, and so was I, though I hated to see Big Green go.

You did need to know all that, didn't you?
