For the Tourists

Today we played tourists in our own city. We started at the new Food Centre/Tourist Information building. I was mainly interested in the architecture and the reflections.

Of course, being a tourist involves a bit of walking.

And a bit of pointing, staring and being bewildered.

Since we seemed to be the only locals around, we went home for dinner.

You are so lucky to have the beautiful city in which to play tourist, and at dinner time to have your own house to go home to.
The Tourist Info office has just the right reflection to lure tourists.

Terrific captures as always, Rune! Fun sometimes to be able to look at the tourists rather than being one -- in spite of the fact that I love to travel! Love your blue skies and a lovely glimpse of your world! Have a great week!

street art?

I think I would be mainly interested in the food! However, I do like that shot of the person's walking shoes. :-)

I wonder what it's like to live in a place filled with tourists. It's not Detroit.

I really like the idea of playing tourist in your own city. I'd like to do a bit of that in Toronto but it might take a bit of nagging to get anyone to go along with me. I hang out with a bunch of county bumpkins. :))

As local, I have the same feelings here. But I must admit that I'd like very much to be a tourist in YOUR place! :o)

I like the pointing and staring. :)
It's true that sometimes it feels funny to be in some place, looking around curiously while the locals can't understand what the heck you're staring at... :)

It is fun to play tourist in your own backyard. You sometimes see things you didn't realize were there. We made a trek to Mt. Rainier Sunday afternoon--much farther than your touristing, but still in our own front yard, so to speak. We can see it from the porch. It was good to get out and about.

You're photos always make me want to cross the Channel with my camera and do the tourist thing in Norway. Great reflection shot, and love those bewildered looking people :O)
