Daffodil

Or "Easter Lily" as we call it in Norway. And for once it lived up to its name.

I love daffodils. It's a shame they are only around for such a short time. Your image is beautiful!

Spring came early here.
This is an incredibly beautiful photo. So soft-looking and delicate, this daffodil is! You have captured the tenderness and the beauty here...

Beautiful sunny yellow... :-) Daffodils are sort of a symbol, aren't they?

I feel the daffodil's humility for being so beautiful -- wonderful photo! -- barbara

Sometimes, sun appears from the earth, and offers its golden light to the world..We call that "Daffodils".

Artistic and quite lovely, as are all of your photos.

Lovely. Perfect yellow. Have a nice day. :)

What an apt name - never heard it called that before. Beautiful yellow framed with those darker tones - lovely.

A good name and a good association. Easter lilies here tend to be arums (at least they used to be) which are also associated with funerals and are nowhere near as jaunty as daffodils.

Easter lily, eh? How suitable...so sunny and uplifting, symbols of new life and light.

Stilig bilde!

Fortsatt god uke!

A lovely shot. Great color and detail.

Our Easter Lilies did not live up to their name. They will, i suppose, show up when it next rains, but alas, it will be too late.

Love the name Easter Lily, though it wouldn't be appropriate most years here. But this year I have some daffs that have been flowering for ages and I see that I have some more just coming into bud - it's a crazy Spring.

Hahahahaha! Us too. Here for Easter!

I don't know much about flowers, but I love these guys. I do wish they lasted longer. There was a spot near me called Daffodil Hill, but the owners let it go to seed. Every time I walk there now (it borders a park) I get a little angry and sad.

I also love the soft focus here. Maybe I repeat myself: I've been finding that, in nature shots, the background is often as important as the central subject.

Very nice. I wish we still had ours. But it has been too cold and they are long gone now.

Beautiful! Ours are long gone, but other flowers are blooming.

I love love love daffodils, but have to enjoy them in a pot and then I can't replant them as it really is too hot here and our planting season is completely different than most. I am just not much of a gardener. I suppose I ought to try to find out how to do it. In the meantime I can enjoy my pots in the springtime and pictures like the beautiful one you posted here all during the rest of the year. I hate to waste those bulbs though.

I had no idea that anyone called them Easter lilies, but I can see why one could.

Nydelig!

Og ja, det klaffa bra i år.
De spirte og levde opp til navnet sitt. Her blomstrer de fortsatt, forresten.
Til stor glede! (:

God torsdag!
