April is April

No, it is not a nuclear bomb hitting Bergen, nor a hurricane. It is just a last greeting from King Winter who yesterday evening sent us this shower of snow .

Irene

Scotland had 24 degrees a couple of days ago, then 18cm of snow yesterday; glad I live near London.

What a beautiful landscape. You captured it amazingly. I love looking at this photo.

A wonderful capture. I've seen similar clouds called 'anvil head' clouds, which usually mean a nasty thunderstorm is coming.

Goodby Mr. Nasty Winter!

And we think we've got it bad here. Yes it is cold wet and windy here after the lovely sunshine last week.

Wow, you can really see it coming down! What a magnificent display (and capture) of nature in action.

The King is not cruel. He's an artist (granted temperamental at times).

Herlig himmel med dramatiske skyer!
her laver det ned, 80cm de siste to dager...
og vi skulle ha hatt vårvær nå med sein påske...
God påske til deg!

That's one of the most dramatic skies I've ever seen! Tremendous. And the whole scene is gorgeous, even though you've told me it's wintry.

I love that shot - it's so dramatic! We had snow here yesterday too although it didn't settle and then turned to ice cold rain.

Your photo perfectly shows the power of nature quite independent of our will...

Gorgeous shot. I was in your Bergen 2 years ago on June and I liked it as if it rained and it was cold.
I know this quote:
It is said that in Bergen it rains 365 days a year and that its inhabitants have their feet in the water and the heart in the right place.
Happy Easter!

RuneE, absolutely awesome photo! The variation in the cloud structure really sets off the shot.

You call him "King" Winter? Interesting. We call him "Old Man" Winter. The difference between the two likely reflects the difference in severity of the winter season. What do you think?

This should be blown up in to a wall size poster and framed. And then send it to me!!

Til bølgekraftverket i Øygarden bl.a.
Flott og fascinerende, det.

Hvilken fantastisk himmel med disse skyer - over "dit" smukke landskab. Håber snart foråret kommer - både her - og oppe ved dig ;-)
