Autumn Colours

During the last weeks we have had a couple of periods with "hot" and fine weather. Consequently a friend of mine and I decided to see if we could find some of those autumn colours that have been missing this year.

And we found some - in this kind of light even power lines become a photographic subject.

One tree still had its leaves - one had lost them. But with this kind of light ...

And of course we found a waterfall - Hesjedalsfossen (about 70m high). Much beloved by photographers in this area.

PS A nice week-end to all who passes by this blog :-)

Varmt lys, gullgule farger
og et nydelig slør i fossen.

Your undulating golden power lines are the most striking thing I have seen in weeks, Bravo !!

Colors are wonderful, but the light magnifies them in a magic way!and those landscapes seem so serene and peaceful...
Have a nice week-end too, dear Rune!

Nice collection. I have a similar wire shot today. While the wires were the original subject, I captures something else.

I like the contrast of the full and naked tree and who doesn't love a waterfall? 70m? Wow!!

I particularly like the top shot with the wires, you caught it at just the right time, very effective.

these make me want to bo there and be encompassed by this magic light!

Wonderful shots - all of them, course the falls are my fav, but the trees have that certain colour to them and the power lines certainly spark-le well.
Great post Rune.

I love the contrasting colours in that first shot, and that waterfall is just stunning.

What fantastic captures for the day, Rune! That's not unusual for you, you always have incredible photos! I love the warm, wonderful colors and the waterfall is so beautiful. Have to agree with Bill, those undulating power lines are amazing! Enjoy your weekend!

Blogspot ate my first comment. Maybe it was too long! Briefly, I like all three, but I too am especially impressed by the illuminated wires—the ugly is made into beautiful curves of light , which are more dramatic by heading straight into a wall of mountain, over a golden field. Great shot, RuneE.

So surprising and a bit eerie, maybe, as these pictures seem slightly other-worldly.

And, yes, I borrowed your rhododendrons...photographed them in Norway two years ago (in June)...I did a dive into the archive to make that post. :)

Flotte naturbilder :))

Beautiful! I like the high contrast and depth of the power lines running into the distance. And the smoothness of the waterfall is great.

Bet you are specially pleased with the power lines photo.

I have two trees in my yard standing side by side and both birch trees. One is completely denuded of leaves, the other still wearing it gown of gold. Fascinating.

Well done!

Thanks for sharing some of your fall color ... missed it in the US this year ... most of it was gone or dulled with time while we were in Turkey.

Great shots!
Sorry I haven't been around in a while - it's explained in my second last post.

Hvilket fantastisk lys i de to første fotos. Flot.

All so beautiful. But the first picture is like from some other world!

Wow! A brilliant capture of light and autumn in the first two - strikingly beautiful. And then the lovely falls...

What beautiful autumn photos and what wonderful light you had! You can certainly see how oblique the sun is already at this time of year.

I love the reflection off the power lines. And you have captured fall colors in the field below.
An early heavy snowstorm destroyed all of our fall color. (New England)

Petra said...

The first picture looks like if not electricity but light was transported via the cables, the scenery looks great!

ArneA said...

:)
