Gulls Galore!

I haven't posted any gulls for a while, so here is a small sample.

Gulls are versatile birds. They may cruise silently along,

or they may quarrel violently with the neighbours.

They may sit contemplating on a skylight,

or they may follow in your wake.

And then they may leave - at least for a period. I'll join in the message on the board:

Thank you for the visit
Welcome back!

Birds are wonderful creatures, but difficult to take photos of,but you did it. There's real action in them.

Flotte bilder!

I like this collection very much, I really like the one on the skylight, with the twisted head.

These are really nice. The first one of the bird in flight is wonderful. I have never managed to catch a moving subject with such clarity. Bravo!

The more I see them, the more I think that what makes me laugh with them is their human side! When they're flying, I don't laugh anymore, I simply admire...

Især de to første fotos er fantastiske!!! Godt fanget ;-)

A full blown Gull post Rune.
Love it.

Great shots, especially the header! We are 200 miles from the coast, but see the gulls here. Sometimes large numbers will descend on a newly plowed field looking for a meal.

Fine shots capturing the many moods of the seagull, Rune.

Beautiful birds but fierce and frightening up close (at least, the larger ones are). We have Herring Gulls, Black Backed Gulls and Black Headed Gulls where I live. Sometimes the Herring Gulls stand in the road and glare. Sometimes they attack people. They always have untrustworthy expressions. They are always beautiful.

You've really captured the squabbling nature of the gulls - I can almost hear them!

My favourite is the one following the wake of the boat - such a lovely view and very contemplative.

Och jag gillar det storslagna bergslandskapet, underbart!

Gulls can be such comics! For sure they are fun to watch and photograph!

There were gulls at our campground. There seemed to be one who came and checked everything out, then two others would come and yell at him. I wonder if he was deaf, as he paid them no attention.

RuneE, just love that fourth photo! Rugged coast! Yes! Do you have more photos of that area?

Toronto gets gulls in the summer which fly in from the Atlantic up the St. Lawrence River.
