Evening atmosphere by a lake in June

We have now reached the period called summer in Norway. In western Norway we are south of the Polar Circle, but the evening is long, and it never gets quite dark.

It makes for many photos, but also for peace of mind. Even a half sunken boat becomes interesting.

One can ponder over the reflection of a straw in a lake.

Leaves of water lilies floating in the still of the night.

Mist starting to rise from the water.

PS Since it is now summer, my postings will be even more irregular than usual, so:

HAVE A NICE SUMMER!!!

Happy Summer! Just last night I wanted to go out to a local park and take photographs, but I was too tired (something I never used to be) :-(

Så nydelig dette var! Skikkelig sommerlige bilder, fra et fredfylt og fint sted. Synes jeg hører fuglene synge og frosken kvekke! :)

Ønsker deg også en riktig fin sommer, med masse godvær!

YOur photos are so beautiful that I wish my eyes can see so clearly. It's like when I look at something, it just isn't in such pristine focus. There's nothing wrong with my eyes, you know what I mean. :)

Beautiful photographs. It is difficult for me to visualize a sun that never sets. You people from Norway are sturdy folks.

Beautiful and calming images! I can see that putting the camera down and just sitting and watching would be very relaxing in these places. A happy summer to you also!

Oh how beautiful! I love the atmosphere especially on the 'Mist starting to rise from the water'. It must be wonderful for it not to really get dark. I would like that all year round!

Happy Summer!

I like your top two best--among my favorites of yours, but all four are terrific in light, shadow and composition.

Hei Rune :) Lenge siden sist.

Lovely photos, all. Ah, the long days of summer. Though growing up in Edmonton, Alberta the summer days aren't quite as long as yours, but I do miss the sun rising at 3:30AM and last dusk at 11PM.

Enjoy your summer, RuneE.

Summer cannot be better described than with these fabulous photos, the mood in the first and last ones is so wonderful that i wish I could be there, and the reflections in the last three are great. Wonderful post - and I wish you a wonderful summer too, Rune!
