Just another flower, or ...

This beautiful flower (at least I think it is) is known as Narcissus poeticus, or in Norwegian Pinselilje. However, what you might not know, is that it is poisonous.
In this case, though, it seems to have a guest that is doing very well.

Utrolig vakker, farlig vakker!

When you photograph plants, you find the world is teeming with insects in a way you might not have realised otherwise. I'm pleased yours posed so elegantly and positioned itself well.

Beauty is often dangerous, isn't it? ;-)

When I take such close photos, I often discover some insect in the photo that I hadn't seen before and usually it is better to take another photo without the insect. Nevertheless, your visitor looks nice, like coming to say hi! :-)

A beautiful photo. Perhaps it is something about those creamy white flowers. The white datura flower, or angels trumpet as it is known, is also a favourite of mine, but also highly poisonous. I like the insect's guest appearance.

So beautiful. And I love the quirky little insect half hidden in the flower!

Also I love your 'noisy neighbour' woodpecker! That is a sound that is always welcome.

Nydelig bilde også under her!

Vakker blomst! Likte ekstra godt at du har fått med den lille grønne insektet - prikken over i'en!

I hope blogger lets me post a comment today. Beautiful shot of a beautiful flower. I didn't know it was poisonous - is it poisonous to the little green bug on it too?

In my mind, Narcissus poeticus is NEVER just another flower. It's one of my favourites. :)
