Z is for Zulu

My Z-photo this time is for Zulu, but not for the proud people of Southern Africa, which I ought to have done. Instead it is for a small speedboat that in my opinion should have been called Zebra. I found this boat in September 2010, but I have saved it for this occasion. One can't waste a good Z!

Today's post is an entry in round SEVEN of ABC Wednesday, the meme initiated by Denise Nesbitt. For more, you can log on via the ABC site.

Of course you have to keep a good letter!
Nice picture!
The colour of the boat is quite strange, something for the navy?

Oh yes! Isn't it fun when you are out and about and think about ABC Wednesday? lol! Great post.

What a great shot. I love the reflection. I agree that zebra boat would be a good name for it.

That is an interesting paint scheme for a boat.

Fabulous photo, but I'd have been keen on hearing about the S.A. Zulus, too. Did you ever see the movie?

Interesting design on the boat. Zebra or Zulu, I don't blame you for saving it. ABC Wednesday really keeps us on our toes, doesn't it?

Den sklir rett inn i dyreparken, zebra zulu :o) Artig båt, tror ikke jeg har sett noe slikt før.

Fortsatt fin uke Rune :)

Zulu or Zebra, it's always a Z and they are rare enough to be precious! the picture would also match for week-end reflections!

Of course, never waste a good Z. I had a whole Z post in draft before I saw the Zebra Dove, so in six months, it will be there waiting for me.
Wonderful little boat, Rune. I also wonder why it wasn't named Zebra, but it is definitely a Z.
Thanks!

Great pic too.
Congrats for being the winner too.

Det er ikke ofte man "snubler over" bokstaver og originale motiver som dette, nei.
Z er jo ekstra utfordrende, til og med,
så jeg skjønner at du sparte på denne.
Stilig!

It's a perfect name for the boat!
Haven't visited you or done ABC for awhile. Had shoulder surgery in November; healing nicely.

Love this image. I saved a Z photo too but someone else posted the same idea. Can you believe it? Oh, well, yours is unique.

It's not called Zebra because it wants to make you think! lol

Thanks for the birthday greeting.

Gorgeous capture. Definitely not a wasted shot!

Of course, "zebra" would have been more accurate. On the other hand, the distance between a zebra and the place where the Zulu people live may not be that long... :-)

Love this shot. The boat is crazy. Love how the colour of the water is almost the same colour as the funnel. Gorgeous!

Hi Rune! Fabulous shot... Everything on it: the light, the reflections... and the Z...

hanks for your comments at Blogtrotter Two, where the Nile 2010 is coming to an end! But the temple of Philae surely deserves a comment... ;) Enjoy and have an excellent Sunday!

Stilig båt og ganske ordinær, både "fargen" og navnet :) Men du fikk med deg en Z!

Mange fine bilder på siden her! Er vel for sent å komme med nyttårhilsninger nå- men jeg sier det likevel jeg: Godt Nyttår! :)
