Slow waves

The fjord is covered in a soft carpet.

This is my contribution to Dragonstar's The weekend in Black and White.

A texture so real that I want to put my hand on its surface.

There's a kind of threat in this picture.. but where is it: in the coming frost, or under the surface?...

Gemma's beaten me to it - I was about to say the water looks like rippled silk. A lovely photo.

How is the weather? Snowed in here!

Cool! I first thought it was an alligator waiting to peek up from the depths. I like the silky texture of the water.

'tis a relaxing sound, that of waves gently brushing the shores.

I am currently in Arizona, and so, appreciating vicariously the snow that everyone else further north is receiving. I am sure there will be some left--or else more--when we return home. I know because my six year old grandson predicted it. It is hard to argue with a six year old who wants to go skiing.
