Nautical Reflections

This ship is the "MS Nordlys", one of the ships of Hurtigruten (The Norwegian Coastal Voyage) . It is here berthed at "Bryggen" (The Wharf) in Vågen (The old Habour) in Bergen. Last Monday they had a promotional "open ship", and we used the opportunity to have a look around.

This is the view from the deck across "Vågen" very late in the afternoon. Now I know how we are going to spend our next summer holidays...

This is my contribution to James at Newtown Area Photo's meme called Weekend Reflections. Post a reflection during the week-end, log on to MckLinky via his site - and you're on.

Open ship, I'd love to go aboard to see the inside someday!
Why go anywhere on vacation when you have all that beauty at home?
Congratulations to Norway for coming in first again as the best place in the world to live.

Beautiful photos, Rune! Bergen is a lovely place to live but I bet you appreciate it even more after you've been away for a short vacation.

Looks really cool. The wharf reminds me of somewhere similar when we called in at Copenhagen
by boat. There was a commotion because a bicyclist had accidentally ridden right over the edge and into the water!

Nice views of this port, you took there... They feel like some kind of invitation to trip...

Det er definitivt et ønske her også å få tatt en tur med en av de båtene, må være en fin opplevelse å få se kysten, fjorder og byer på denne måten. Fine bilder Rune!

That's a very attractive perspective of the ship and the port of Bergen. And the nightlights reflected in the water make it look very warm.

quintessential Norway shots. The balance of land and water. Breathtaking.

It would be interesting to visit a cruise ship and look around, I have been on a ferry but not a cruise ship!
Wonderful reflections in these shots!

Thanks for the visit!

What a beautiful, peaceful harbor... the ship has a nice shape and angle for reflection. I am always taken with night water reflections!
