Frozen reflection

The beginning of a new ice-age.

This is my contribution to James at Newtown Area Photo's meme called Weekend Reflections. Post a reflection during the week-end, log on to MckLinky via his site - and you're on.

And now that little clump is frozen in time. Norway's winter has really come now, eh?

The warm color of the grass gives a feeling of fire among the ice!
I heard on TV news this morning that Scandinavia had early morning temperatures reaching -30°!!
We did not reach this level yet here :))

You've caught the light well on hits. One of those shots that would not be there ten minutes later. I think we are getting some of your weather in the UK. Wish you'd keep it!

God helg :)

Striking! Not a usual opportunity...you must be out and about in the tundra!

I love the colour contrast and the reflection is fantastic!
An intense yellow and so magnificent blue!
Hmmmm I imagine it's really cold there!
Stay warm and have a wonderful weekend,

That pretty little clump of grass is soon to be doomed. For now, it is beautiful in color and patiently waiting for you to show up with your camera. Glad you did!

The golden browns are beautiful against the blue waters. . .

I can't translate your temperature to what scales we use but it was mighty cold where we were the last two weeks. . . got down to 7 degrees at night and we even lost electricity for 22 hours.

I will visit and leave comments on your posts since the 22nd when we had no internet. Back home now.

Once again : WOW !

I just love the color on this one : this clump of aquatical grass looks so shiny... almost like gold... It had a lot too that the water was partly frozen when you took it...

Thanks for that lovely sharing.

A perfect reflection! I saw on TV that Norway is having snow and real winter weather. Hopefully you will not get the same long period of snow and ice as you had last year!
We had snow in the northern provinces.

Great colours in this - and I like the thin lines in the ice.

That looks like a great place for a bird or other animal to rest and soak up the sun. It also makes a nice reflection.

The burst of gold in the grasses makes such a wonderful contrast with the icy blue of the water! Beautiful photo!

Such a simple photo, with such beauty. The water is so, so blue and the color contrast of the straw-colored, frozen grass in the middle is really pretty.
