A visitor from rural Norway

We have a summer cottage an hour's drive from Bergen. It is our heaven on earth. Among other things one gets to meet some of the local inhabitants that really keep in touch with the grassroots.

The Summer House tradition is very Scandinavian, it's a nice tradition.

I like all animals, including the human kind. Among farm animals I liked the old work horses, then cows and it is a toss up between sheep and goats. I had a sheep once and never cut his tail. I had to march him down to the slaughter house when I was about 12. Never will forget that day.

Now, I like goats. Don't know why.

Poor goat has runny eyes. Sweet face though.

A place to get away is a place to renew one's energy.

Such a beautiful face!

I remember seeing the summer cottages perched on the mountain ledges...beautiful eye candy at every window.

Godt med sitt eget rike hvor man kan koble av og nyte late dager, og sauen hører med da :) Flott bilde med god øyekontakt :)

Hi Rune. Nice to chat with you again (did you really get a new heart? or just something red?)

The locals are looking sharp (love the id collar)

What a cutie, nice portrait. I think I was a sheep or goat herder in another life, since I feel very drawn to them.

It's great you can get away from the city once in a while. You probably spend more time in the country than I spend in the city. :)
