A Wedding in New York

It has been been a bit quiet on this blog for a while, but there is a very good reason for this: We have been away for a while and we have been attending a WEDDING!

And not "any old wedding", but the wedding of our daughter Marie. She got her Kjetil in The Norwegian Seamen's Church in New York last Friday in a ceremony that left no eyes dry - mine not the least.

Since we were in New York, the famous skyline had of course to be included.

PS And nowhere could volcanic any ash be seen...

Oohh how wonderful! Mazal-tov to the proud parents and the lovely couple!

May no dark cloud, volcanic ash or otherwise, ever come into their life.

I was wondering where you were. A beautiful daughter makes a beautiful bride. Will she be living in NYC? So close to me, so far from you. Don't you wish kids would stay closer to home?

What a wonderful reason to go to New York. Congratulations to your beautriful daughter and her handsome bridegroom! I wish you and your wife a happy time with your family, even if you live so far apart from your children.
My daughter from Australia is now here with her partner and the three children. I am enjoying every minute of it.
