Looks and even almost smells like spring - even in B&W.

The in-your-face approach to a flower is my favorite way to go. The monochrome is new and modern.

A daff by any medium is as fair as Spring.

Påsk i mono.

The choice of B&W shows even more how nature can be perfect!

Thank you for the nice comment!(and I think you don't need to read the book to enjoy the movie, it's so special, it has its own universe. And, as a scientific man, you should enjoy the 3-D technic!)
I wish you a good week-end!

Spring looks good in color or monochrome. Are daffodils really blooming there already? Not yet here.

I am loving all of these Spring photos...can't wait for it to pop here!

In my homeland the daffodil is called Narcissus - the story of the boy who fell in love with his own reflection on the lake. It is true - it is beautiful, velvety and scented. Thank you.

I would frame it, Runee, so delicate!

Such a wonderfully symmetrical splay of shapes, Rune. So immensely pleasing to the eye. I can see what moved you to move to mono.

Daffodils have such a strong shape. Has spring arrived with you at last?

I'd not have thought of a mono daffodil - but it brings out the texture of the petals.

I like this approach to daffodils!

I would never have thought to make this a monochrome photo. It works very well. I see the details in a new way. Nice job!!!

Oh, are your daffodils blooming already? If so, I am very jealous!

Dette bildet bør få en farvet oppfølger

Vakkert!

Gorgeous! Daffodils are such bright, merry flowers that one usually doesn't get past the color and cheerfulness. The monochrome really bring out the aspects that are usually missed!

Nydelig i svart/hvitt!
Vår vår vår... jeg er så klar for den. Et steg nærmere nå med sommertid da!

Ha en flott søndag!

I would never have thought of this... as I see daff's for the beauty of the bright yellow after the greyness of winter. Saying that I wish I'd thought of this as they do look good like this.. ha!

Flott bilde!

awarewriter said...

Nice one. You can truly "see" the daffodil when the yellow is gone.

I like the simplicity of this shot. Works well for me in monochrome. For that matter I have some white daffodils that look like that in color.
