Reflecting in the Golden Light

Very nice photo and reflection. The pattern on the sand and sun's reflection are wonderful too. I don't think I've seen this type of bird before. He does look a bit familiar though. Are his legs really as short as they look or did one sink in the sand?

Difficult to say if the "duck" is on the ice, the snow or the water. It does not seem to matter, neither do we: only remains the beauty of the light, and the peace of the scene...

Flott lys fra sola i vannet. Ser ut som fuglen fryser.

I would love to see golden ice someday.
Such a sweet pose the bird and her reflection have.

Ice makes more sense that sand. I was thinking it was very shiny.

"I get envious just looking at this - if it is take recently"

They were taken just last month when I visited my home state. :)

Fjærpuss må til uansett årstid, kjempefine speilinger i vannet. Sånn sett skal man vel være glad man ikke må i elven for å barbere seg hver morgen :)

I love your still water reflections! But this one is special!

Wow, I'm blown away! The colors, the subject, it's all GREAT!

P.S. Good suggestion of f8 or f11 aperture. I'm going to try another series of shots with aperture priority.

I hope the poor bird's legs are not frozen. On first glance, I thought it was a tiny penguin.

The gold is so dramatic.

Great shot, I love the reflection of the light on the water. We were of the same mind with the ducks, well mine were geese, this weekend. He looks like he doesn't want to get his feet wet.
