A cosy double Bench in the winter

Doesn't a double wicker chair (that makes it a bench!) appeal to you? A nice place to sit in the sun. With a sturdy spade you can even get access, and a little bit of snow on the seat can be dusted away.

You have a place on the quay all to yourself, and if you are interested in boating, there is a whole marina to choose from.

But don't go for a walk on the ice without a swimsuit...

Since these photos also contains several (in my humble opinion) fairly OK reflections, this post is also my contribution to James at Newtown Area Photo's meme called Weekend Reflections. Post a reflection during the week-end, log on to MckLinky via his site - and you're on.

Påskefølelse her ja. Flotte refleksjoner.

I'll stay away from the ice but I wouldn't mind going on one of the boats.Did you sit in the chair?

I see a great spot just inside that center window. A great view of the snow and a nice little side table to rest my mug of coffee.

Love the first photo. Ah, hints of summer to come. The golden color of the rattan with the sparkle of sunlight really seals the deal for me.

Superdupert!!

Fin fredag til deg.

The bench is nice, but I'll sit inside until the snow melts! I love the reflection in the second shot! I am still enthralled by the stillness of the water in your harbors.

snow makes world look better. and your photos even more. well done

Dina said...

Vaggelis said it well. True.

Is the crust of the snow firm enough to make a footstool? If so, I might sit on that pretty bench and put my feet up and take in the scenery. :)

To temaer i en smekk.
Kreativt. :)

Passende bilder,

God fredag!

I love the coppery-gold color of the bench wicker work.

I'm not sure this bench is made for snowy weather.. But I'd like to sit there for a while, enjoying the view and the sun in the spot of light..I guess that with snow and ice, nobody will come to disturb me!

Well, I like your bench BUT I would never sit there -- I WOULD BE PLAYING IN THE SNOW! My bench is special and posted now.

Wow, Jerusalem just had a short hail storm. But I want snow!

There are 14 beautiful teak benches waiting for you and all in my post today. In ... yes, you guessed it, the Supreme Court. :)

I think your boat reflection is more than fairly ok!
I do love that bench and that last photo looks like a cozy spot even in snow. You always got some great shadows.
Lovely shots as always!

I love the "virtual" tour surrounding the chair! And, every angle is fabulous! Love the light reflections on that snow and the water is NOT frozen! Wow!

I love your sense of humor. That first image is a nice composition and the lighting and colors are delicious for the series. Bet that first one would convert well to B&W.

The sunlight on the snow in these photos makes the whole landscqape glow with light! Beautiful! And love your comments for each photo!

Nice perspectives with far & near photos of the chair. It might have been awhile since someone's sat there to enjoy the view.

What a wonderful place to sit and view the boats and the beautiful still water. But, sorry, I would have to wait for summer! I think your reflections are beautiful, definitely more than "ok". Kathy

I like all three :) I agree with John - the bench would probably look great in B&W, but I really like it colour too!
