Reflective and refractive

Like many natural minerals, teeth can be both reflective and refractive, but usually not to this extent. Here is one tooth from the front

Here seen from the side. They look as if they were made from a high quality, precious, crystalline substance.

Here is one whole side of the upper jaw. And the mineral? It is called ice.

James at Newtown Area Photo has a meme called Weekend Reflections. Post a reflection during the week-end, log on to MckLinky via his site - and you're on.

Beautiful and a cristal clear reflection. From an ice sculpture?

Wow! The clarity is amazing...the last photo has a dog's face in it (the second tooth). I feel curious enough to gaze at it longer. Great post, Mr. RuneE! And, regarding my post with the 'gator in the women's restroom...a boy gator was in the men's restroom! HA!

Marvelous, as always! Very creative too. RuneE, may I ask what macro lense you use? I gotta' get me one of those! ;) Though I am sure it is not just the lense that makes your work so beautiful, but the eye behind the camera.
Very very nice.

Wonderful ice teeth RuneE. Making my icicle posts today look shabby, but that's okay.

Skiekkelig bra Rune, her snakker vi refleksoner og macro du :-)

Nesten så en fikk litt vårfølelse her, is som smelter. Men ja!! synes da faktisk at dagene er lysere litt lenger :-)

God helg til deg

Those first two images are so very visually perplexing, Rune. But the final one brings it all together. This is a very creative post and I like how the text runs along with the mystery.

Good one.

Ising i tennene... ;)

Flotte bilder, Rune!
