Wow! Super cool capture. I can't believe you were able to get it. Those little buggers move so fast.

Thanks for your comment on my b/w pic, yes it's a bit spooky because of the big toe eating trout...

Her har du kommet tett innpå - de er små og raske disse småtassene!

lucky?????????

in getting a great shot - yes

but ants are creatures that I detest - we had our kitchen invaded by them more than once - I'll spare you the details.

Amazing! I like the contrast in texture between the shiny ant and the more matte flower.

That is also a specific type of ant. See the band around his abdomen. I know, for example, peonies cannot bloom without this type of ant. It is a nice macro. The colors on him are dazzling if you get close enough.

Knallbilde Rune!
Sylskarpt og gode naturlege fargar!

Ikkje lett "å fange" desse småtassane for dei er stadig på farten :)

For et skarpt bilde! Nesten så jeg får en følelse av at mauren kryper ned på bordet her jeg sitter. Flott kontrast maur/blomst! :)

lovely photo, the bright vibrant orange colour

I thought it might be too cold in Norway for ants.

We have lots of tiny ants in Auckland.

How big is your ant?

Your photos are brilliant and you deserve every award you get. I know the days are growing shorter. I wonder, do you dread the dark nights like I used to dread the cold winters in Minnesota and Toronto. At this time of the year it may seem like I'm boasting but I am just so excited to be still having great weather. I can hardly believe my good fortune in living down here. You have to remember that all my other memories of weather were also the short northern England summers.
