Yeah, autumn at the door is more like it.
Beautiful.

Another wonderful old door. I wonder how that would look in b&w? Have you thought about doing an exhibit of old doors and windows? It would be wonderful.

Ja dette var et litt anderledes høstbildet.

I think your photos of the old buildings are some of my favorites. Thank you for sharing them. You do such a great job of capturing them in interesting ways. It's inspiring me to look at old buildings around here. I think I'll try and photograph some of them.

Old painting, yellow leaves, a definitively closed door..No return allowed, like for the time passing by.A beautyful symbol for the season...
~~

PS What you said about Champs-Elysées does not surprise me. I "enjoyed" some prices too. But has a dream a price?..
And thank you for your kind words for the blog aniversary!

Lynn Wiles suggested I stopped by to look at your blog, as today I am also posting photos of old doors - the have so much character.

I like your photo, its as if the young tree is reclaiming the wood from the door.

I guess it's been a while since anyone used that door. Hardly seems worth locking.

Sikkert ikke like pent sett med huseierens øyne.... Dersom han/hun bryr seg da.

Great mix of colors and old textures. This is a very nice photo.

The mix of the green is wonderful, and your old door is the contrast.
Very nice:)
I like your photos.

Takk.

The more dilapidated, the better it is, and this sure is a dilapidated door.
The colours enhance it too Rune.

Fotografer som deg går ikke forbi flotte motiv som dette. :)
Fine farger!
Men jeg kan se at det er lenge siden noen gikk inn den døra.
Kanskje hagesaksa ligger innenfor. ;)

Vemodig vakkert!

Åpner du den døren, så slippes høsten til for fullt.
(Så bare åpne den du! Elsker høsten jeg!)
Vakkert og vemodig.

Wonderful peeling old door! Great drama and atmosphere! I wonder what the story is behind that door?

I did take some inspiration from you today, and did take photos of an old barn. I mentioned you in the blog as well.

Love the word play with this shot. A story could be written around this very door in time for Halloween!

I love it! The colours at the base and the base of the walls are so wonderful too.

Is it a secret portal? :)

Hi Rune! Another week has passed without a chance to drop by. It seems time runs faster when you get to a certain age... ;)
Amazing picture!! But your jellyfish is stunning!!

Blogtrotter is trying to have fun in the Turkish Riviera. Enjoy and have a marvellous weekend!

Hi Runee,
I came over from Imac's after reading your comment on his door.
I like yours for the same reason I like his - the weathered patina of paint peeling away.
There are some nice contrasts of color here with the green door, fading leaves and brown 'rusty' splash on the wall.
As a matter of fact scrolling down you have many 'weathered' posts that I enjoyed browsing through.

Looks like the door hasn't been opened for a while. Is someone trying to stop autumn from entering?

What an interesting shot this is... the door goes without saying is excellent... I like the hinges and locks... and the sapling growing in front... It promises untold treasures long forgotten await on the other side... ha! or my luck 'a load of old junk'
