Crowing over Sky Watch

I was inspired for this week's contribution to Sky Watch Friday by the post made by Tom about crows. As everybody knows, Tom managed SWF all by himself for quite a while, and did it excellently. Please visit him and say hello.

PS Please visit Sky Watch Friday's own site for more.

Hi Rune... this is a great capture... is that a 'Hooded Crow'?.. I've never seen one myself..
Thank you for the mention... I look back now and wonder just how I did do it on my own... I tried so hard each week to visit every body but it really became to much... I still call in and post for Sky Watch now and then, and I made made great blog friends from taking part. I think it is the best meme out there.

While it is neat that you got an action shot, I prefer the blue skies -- glad to see you are now enjoying them also! Going to be in the 80's today!

Några "kråk fötter" för en kråka. =)

Nice photo I love birds but I've never managed to get a nice photo of a carrion crow.

Starter bra dette, med latter og greier! Skikkelig fint bilde av den skvalderfuglen! Den priser sommeren!

this crow is thinking that it is Leonardo di Caprio in Titanic, and shouts "I'm the king of the world"..(You took the picture just before all the other birds took their feathers back, in front of Jupiter...)Ü
Really impressive shot!

Utrolig morsom! En som prøvesynger for Idol eller noe?

Dette er meget bra fanget Rune.
Denne posituren er ikke daglig kost.

Ps.

You can crow all you like over this terrific image.

I shoot in RAW for the large file size needed for work and use to convert to monochrome. I'm only half a luddite.

Crows are always such fascinating birds, and so mysterious as if they are the forerunners of a sinister crime. This one however is not bothered by its dark reputation. Thank you for your great SWF post. Tom has indeed done a great job by creating this meme. Thanks also for your visit.

Looks like a half-grown bird to me, calling to a parent to feed it. Great shot with the wing of a hidden bird from behind.
