This week's benches are not from out of doors. Rather, I stumbled over this trio in one of the shopping centres in Bergen Thursday. All the vertical, horizontal and diagonal lines, in combination with the hard sunlight through the window caught my attention. Together with the curves of and in the seats they brought me into "photographic mode" and I grabbed my trusty Panasonic that is always hanging in my belt. I hope I have managed to convey some of the futuristic feeling it gave me.
I have not made this into a meme, but if anyone else would like to join me in publishing benches on Fridays, they are of course welcome to do so. Give me a hint and I'll come visiting.

Beautyful study of different kinds of lines and perspective! and the benches are quite unusual..(and must I say that I posted a bench today?..:-)) )
A pretty -and very cool, futuristic -view of those benches. They look inviting in a cool, crisp kind of way.
Is that plywood bent and then plywood on top. It reminds me of spruce. Nice photos. I really like the benches.
Such wonderful places, so different from where I have lived. The Hamlet of Gordon, Ohio is where I was born and raised and it is how small hamlets used to be and this one still exists.
The Hamlet of Gordon
Hi Rune! Great shot; beautiful benches! And the sun was shinning; something i missed when in June 1980 I was in Bergen: 4º Celsius...
Wonderful sky watch post!
After the green, Blogtrotter entered the old town... ;)
Enjoy and have a great weekend! I’m going to be busy at the Music Fest (Bach’s legacy… ;))
Sorry; I should have said June 1981... Those English and German friends are starting to attack... ;))
Great work here Rune, love the shapes and shadows
Fancy A give-away? then pop to

Nok ein gong flotte benker. Likte godt linjene. Ha ei flott helg!
Stylish lines in your benches today, RuneE. I have joined you today with a bench photo I found in one of my favourite places.
Nicely captured! The setting is similar to the IKEA building we visited Friday. The cafe is on the second level and has a glass wall facing outdoor seating on a patio. The outside was closed (and would have been cool with the wind). Thanks for comment on our skies. Actually, the rain was nice as this area is behind on rainfall for the year. What was not nice about the storms that passed through was the cold and wind. On Friday we had late May warmth - very enjoyable.
Wonderful shadows and lines and yes, very futuristic.
Very interesting lines and shadows in your shot. The benches are really great looking and very sturdy looking. They do look like plywood.
Fleire flotte innlegg i det siste!
Løvetannknoppen er berre heilt fantastisk!
God helg :)
Utrolig stilig og så praktisk når bordene er runde også. Her bare må spises runde boller ja...
Ta deg en tur innom hos meg, det er måse disco på gang :-))
What a great idea! I love these benches - wonderful photo.
I will try and join in - I'm not very good at remembering to do things on certain days, but will attempt to!!
I really like how you've managed to capture the curve of the benches along with the contrasts between light and shadow on those benches.
Great work, I like the lines in the picture.
I wonder what kind of wood it is.
Å du for noen stilige bilder! Lekre linjer! ....men er de gode å sitte på?
Flotte og velkomponerte bilder.
Meget bra dybde i begge to.
Veldig flotte linjer og effekter her.
Flott fotografert! :)
Lagunen?
We have two whole weeks of benches going on over at the group blog Pic-a-theme. http://picatheme.blogspot.com/
The shadows are terrific and unique shaped benches too! You really lucked out. I will connect this one to my bench blog also.
