The Rhododendrons have arrived

My favourite flowers have started to show themselves off in parks:

Rhododendron thomsonii

Rhododendron fulgens

The pictures were taken almost two weeks ago at the Arboretum and Botanical Garden - no doubt about it - spring has come to Norway! Or at least our part of it...

Your Rhodies are way ahead of ours -- we have buds and that is all as far as I can tell. I betthose are in full bloom now. Need another trip to investigate!

Nydelige bilder.

Flott sky watch bilde hos deg under her og :)

Nyt helgen og våren!

i love the way this flower opens, so secretly, so slowly, she opens her petals to a slowly warming sun

Very well captured as always Rune!

Good to see some have a taste of spring in Norway. In Oslo we had more snow today.

Those first few moments of petals opening to sunshine are so very precious.

Great shots of these buds opening! From your posts, I have gathered that your climate is similar to ours, maybe not as hot in summer. Our Rhododendron are still tighly closed.

Spring has made its way around the world! Spring and Summer are probably my 2 favorite seasons.

Thank you for sharing your memory of the St. Francis. I will photograph & blog about it whenever I get back to that part of town.

Congrats on such amazing macro once again, my friend.
It's beautiful.
We have yet to see anything bloom here yet.
We have a major snowfall warning for our area to hit later this day... it will be a little longer for Springtime in this part of the Rockies, I suppose.

Take care.

I already published the link where they were stealing my posts: http://smarticle.co.uk/

Now they removed it, but tens of other bloggers are suffering the same! how weird and sad... :(
