Gothic in Oslo in Monochrome Monday

A bit spooky...

The Monochrome Monday concept came from Aileni at LOOSE ENDS

Very Gothic and rather forbidding with the stark trees gathered around.
Fine image.

I love the way the gothic architecture looks in the snow in monochrome.

Are there ghosts inside?

I like this in B&W as the detail in the roof and brick stand out. I guess you need a LOT of chimneys if you're heating a big place this with fireplaces.

Gothic with receiver dish, through !
A wonderful place. A little bit a austere, but as you wrote, it is gothic.

I'm sure that's a lovely house in summer...but just now it looks dead creepy! Great, atmospheric shot.

Thanks for calling by earlier! I really like the giraffes too - although they can cause a bit of pavement congestion since it's a fairly busy area!

Spooky? I guess after dark it would be. But in daylight it kind of looks like a gingerbread house.

A boarded-up deserted, empty creepy gingerbread house.

Did you see something move in that window?

I like this! Doesn't spook me at all. But I wouldn't want to spend the night there.

Takk for kommentarer Rune.

Flott bilde Rune. :)
Det ser litt spøkelsesaktig ut ja... ;) Mystisk og forlatt.
Veldig passende i sort/hvitt.

Hm. Tror jeg må legge meg... ;)

I really shouldn't be viewing this with my over active imagination. It is a spooky gothic delight and I'm with Mojo I see moving images.

I think it si especially nice with the snow surrounding it. Would love to see a blue sky behind it!

I like your header too although I have to scroll to see it on this old computer.

I also left a comment on te daffodil one.

I can't figure out why I should watch your space, , ,
was it because of the Daffodil?

Dramatic. The snow, the gothic structure, the tree branches, and all. Good capture!

How lovely to have such buildings in your area! It's a marvelous place!

Huumm! I like this kind of mood.
After walking in the snow, I open the door, and find a fire in the chimney. There's a hot cup of tea on the table, near a comfortable old armchair; The cat is opening one lazy eye, and recognizing me, goes back to its dreams.Near the teapot, there is a good book of poetry, the best one , the XIXth english poetry, and I sit there, and begin to read. The silence of the snow covers every thing, all is peaceful.
Suddenly, I feel some cold air in my neck; I slowly turn my head, and I have a smile: a ghost is trying to read with me above my shoulder.....

This is great. Colour would spoil this shot, the house could have been built for a mono shot!

Now I know why I was crazy about it! ÜÜ....
And I had not to do homework; When I travel somewhere, I read a lot before and after, in order not to miss something, and to make the travel last longer! And in this particular case, I really fell in love with the place!!So, not "work", only "pleasure"..

Hmmm, I don't find this spooky, I can imagine myself sitting there in a comfortable chair in front of an open fire, some hot chocolate and a good book, dogs at my feet.....*sigh* Lovely.

Carolina said...

Haha, just read the earlier comment of Malyss, so I guess I won't be alone sitting by the fire, reading a good book ;-)

I like the look of this place - I assume it has a huge log fire!

Not too spooky with a satellite dish! But I love the Gothic look, and there will be wonderful fireplaces to toast one's feet.

=) Tjusigt! Tack för besöket hos mig!
