A is for An African-American President in America!

What else than this immensely important occasion, both for the United States of America and the rest of the world, can be my contribution to the fourth round of ABC Wednesday?

I congratulate all Americans with their new president. He represents at the moment the hope of "The remaking of America" for both Americans and the rest of the world.

This may be an Anti-climax, but:

Today's post is my first entry in the fouth round of ABC Wednesday, the meme initiated by Denise Nesbitt.

Å f... var du der? Og så nære da gitt :-)

Blir spennende å se hva han kan endre på i USA. Vel det er jo flere som har noe å si der også, men jeg håper han blir positiv for landet og verden.

Just spent 2 hours watching the events unfold on the TV - I think he will have a very difficult job over the next 4 years ..

All the best to him.

Flott valg for A. Jeg har fulgt med i flere timer i kveld. Spennende tider. Ha en fin ny abc-runde:)

Har fulgt ivrig med på TV i hele kveld. En historisk begivenhet.

Idag traff du perfekt med A`n din. Imponerende at du starter opp for fjerde gang. Jeg har gitt meg for lenge siden.

I watched the inauguration itself, from start to finish -in between tears and sniffling on my part as it was an overwhelming event to watch. Just incredible and I haven't felt this way about a political event since President Kennedy's inauguration as well as his funeral.
Thank you for your good wishes for our new President and for our country as well.
Peace!

I sincerely hope Obama is the new hope, but today I kept seeing echoes of Blair's win in my own UK in 1997, and so much of it was hollow.

You were quick off the mark! I find the whole Obama phenomenon moving but it's that little word 'Anti-climax' that worries me!

Yes, he is great, which still needs to be proven. But for me, the real greatest thing is the American democracy and the American people who elected him to be the president.

Hello RuneE,

I am arriving via Barbara Martin; I am checking out everyone else who she awarded a prize to.

What wonderful images.

How on earth do you get them so large on blogger? Would you mind explaining that quickly so that I can try to do the same thing?

I will be back.

Tschuess,
Chris

Yes!!! Vi feiret her i gården og!

Ellers, Rune...
