Hoisting Sky Watch Friday

You have to take your subjects where you can find them. For instance can a crane make an interesting pattern against the sky. In this case, right after sunrise in January.
First - the whole crane

Second - a bit closer and another angle

Third - a close-up for the technical interested

PS Please visit Sky Watch Friday's own site for more.

Industrialist patrimony is often very interesting to picture: cranes, but also old factories, industrialist machines, tools, special places where people work..A crane is made of lines , angles and circles, a real toy for a photographer to play with!

I say YES, it's a great subject for Sky Watch. The lines and circles and other shapes add tons of interest to this sky. And the light on the bottom photo is delightful.

Geniale bilder for SWF!

Hm.
Ellers ROPER jeg på han! ;)
Det siste bildet falt i smak her.
Flott utsnitt og fint lys.

These photos make such great compositions. My daughter Thymeline used to take this kind of photos, because she is a technical draughtswoman, and I always liked them. Yours are very great.

How unusual, it's the first time I've seen a crane being captured with a beautiful sky up above...what contrast..thanks for sharing the beauty in it.

I like the close-ups of the crane, it looks massive against the sky. Happy SWF!

Industrial photography has always been my favourite - amazing how pieces of otherwise ugly things become so thrilling through the gifted man's lens!
