Today's flower - A rose for Truls

You can still find roses in Norway in December. I dedicate this one to my friend Truls Zimmer who is at the moment fighting for his life at Rikshospitalet in Oslo, Norway. He has suffered from Cystic Fibrosis all his life and had received new lungs by transplantation in 2006. He is now suffering from one of the risks of this treatment - serious infections.

He and his wife Hilde need all the support they can get. Please visit his Blog and leave a greeting.

PS The Today's flowers meme is hosted by LUIZ SANTILLI JR. . Please visit and enjoy.

Beautiful budding rose with promise to unfold into magnificent splendor.

I have recently returned from Truls' blog after leaving a message. It is times like these that strangers' kindnesses will have the best effect on those that are ill.

Before I commented here, I wandered over to Truls blog to leave some thoughts! I so hope our combined strength carries him and Hilde through this stressful time so close to Christmas.

Love your rose bud! It seems so determined to follow the process of living beauty!

I left a message on Trul's blog and I sincerely hope that he will get better.
If flowers can work miracles, this rosebud must be one of them.

I am sorry for your friend and his wife. Chonic illness and transplants are not easy to live with and we have to be grateful for every day we get.
A lovely rose in dedication.
