A shot from the moon?

What might this be? A shot of the moon - cheese, horizon, craters and all?

No, just a piece of rusty junk found on a quay by a hobby photographer who was looking for something suitable for a shot by a macro lens.

it looked to me like a biscuit or cake with green cream topping - really interesting close-up: the textures you captured are very detailed

Rusty junk are worthwhile to photograph. It's almost like going treasure hunting. Although it would've been interesting if you visited the moon and took this picture.

Regarding your comment about treasure on Treasure Island, there isn't any. It was named as such because the dirt to fill the man-made island came from "gold-laden dirt from the Sierras that flowed into the Bay." As you know gold was found in the Sierra mountains back in 1849 California Gold Rush.

I NEVER would have guessed rust. It's amazing what one can discover with a macro lens. This photo is great!
