This is My World

A new Meme is being launched today called That's my world.

This is My world. This what I see every day. This is the Fjords of Norway - it is even three of them meeting beneath my terrace an evening in June. I cannot live without the water. If I can't see it , I have at least to know that it is near at hand. I have to be able to smell the salt water.

For the particulars: This is the seaway entrance to Bergen, on the western part of Norway. It is what the cruiseships meet when they come (this is for you IMac!). I have seen them all and have photos of many of them.

This is my world. This is my life.

Have a look at other places around the world That's my world.

Meget vakkert, bare synd det ligger litt feil plassert i Norge :-)

It's what it makes you to breathe.

Beautiful! I wish I could say "I can't be without water," because I think I can't. But I do not live anywhere near water. It is my favorite thing to see when I travel.

Love "your" world!

That's a great Panorama! I can understand you so well!
Fantastic - and great that you take part!
Cheers, Klaus

P.S.: Please note for future MyWorld post, enter name and country, which seems appropriate for a "World" Meme!

It's very beautiful, Rune. I grew up by the ocean but had to learn how to live with out the smell of salty air and the sound of foghorns. I can understand why you don't want to be away from it!

Utrolig vakkert, Rune! Og jeg syns så absolutt at det er helt riktig plassert i Norge. Vest er Best!;)
En vakker utsikt!

Oh my I could grow very used to that also what a lovely area you live in.

He he, jeg storkoser meg ved sjøen jeg også. Ingenting er så beroligende som en speilblank fjord. Den dagen jeg får råd til hytte så skal den være i "strandkanten".

I could wake up to that scene every day!
A beautiful image of your world Rune.

Hi RuneE, you said you can't do without the smell of the sea! Well that's no wonder: every true viking will always live near or at the sea!! LOL.
I love Bergen and have a lot of photos of Bryggen and Gamle Bergen

Yes, I understand you too even my water does not smell salt!
I am lucky one, because I can go to our summerhouse on the shore of lake when ever I need to go. You know as Norwegian, that our lakes are frozen in winters and we can not exactly see water, but we enjoy skiing on ice knowing, that water is back after few months :)
I was yesterday on pages of Hurtigruten cruises. We are thinking with my husband to drive to Kirkenes and take a car to a cruiser and go for instance to Tromso or Bodo and drive back to Finland via Sweden. What do you think about that?

Have a happy week!

I can feel the love of place in all your posts. I share those feelings about the sea world here on the north pacific coast from Washington to Alaska. No wonder, since they are so similar in climate and great forested mountains that spill into the sea. Always enjoy the posts from your world, Rune, thank you!

Flott landskaps panorama bilde av din utsikt. Jeg har sagt det før og jeg sier det igjen, misunner deg den men ikke nedbøren :)

Ingen årsak, jeg glemte å legge til landet vårt men det får vi ta med neste gang.

RunE, you live in a beautiful place by the sea. Sometimes in the summer I can smell sea air that blows up the St. Lawrence valley into toronto when the wind comes from the east.

Even though I love the wide open spaces of the prairies, I like living near Lake Ontario and being able to walk to the lakeside to watch the sailboats.

Hi Rune! That's a stunning panorama! Liked the Norsk photos also, but I think that many people would dispute your idea of the world's most famous museum... ;))
