A rowanberry stroll

It has been a great summer. However, even though the day has been magnificent it becomes ever more obvious that the autumn is closing in. One indication is the great amount of ripe rowanberries to be seen. So today I went photo hunting for some. Care to join me?

First some alone in the sky

Then the moon wanted some

Some just wanted a bit of the sea.

Enjoyed the trip?

Loved the tour. Great photos.

We have Rowan berries here in Canada too. In fact, I posted about them last Tuesday (tee hee) and have another another post with a different slant scheduled for next week. ;-)

BERRY interesting series of photos! Ü Just beautiful against that sky and sea. What an interesting take that last one is. . . I wonder how you shot that?

I am finally catching up on posts on your blog I missed when I was not feeling well after my accident. I plan to go back at least to the tall ships if not before and leave comments. My goal is to catch up on your blog today.

Thanks for being so good at checking out my blog and leaving comments.

I have never heard of a rowanberry. I wonder what they taste like or are they even edible? I like your 2nd picture comparing the berries to the moon.

To answer your question from my post, no those colorful homes are not the same ones you've seen in movies and yes, they are probably expensive like most housing in SF.

Have a good weekend!

I really like the contrast between the red berries and the blue sky.

I just shot a bunch of RAW pictures yesterday and still have not processed them.

I will put the Deer Hunting story on the Brookville Blog for Sunday (or tomorrow). I sometimes wonder if I could still walk through the woods without making a sound.

These are some of the most amazing pictures I've every seen. I'm envious of those beautiful blue skies.

We survived the storm with no damage. Thanks for your comments.

Nice shots, espectially of the moon. I had to look up Rowan berries on Google since I am not familiar with them - too hot for them here. Sounds like they are bitter like cranberries?

Great photos, Rune. I was especially interested in the tall ships. We have a group visiting us here in San Diego this week Not sure if we'll have time to go down and see them. We have commitments. But my husband greatly loves them and had the opportunity to sail on one a while back. I am way behind on visiting blogs. It's getting hard to do both visiting and posting and I've had low energy this week. We're still looking at the Norwegian cruise.

Rowan berries are so colourful, and so are You!

Excellent color contrast! I will be out in a couple of minutes, after being stuck inside due to Tropical Storm Fay - woke up the blue sky!
Cheers, Klaus

Yes, I did enjoy the trip. I completely understand why even the moon wanted some of those berries. They are eye-popping.

Btw, David sent me over to have my eyes popped.
