"The Bridges" on the move

The project "Bridges between" will for practical reasons be moved to this blog ("Visual Norway"), starting with the next post Monday September 1. Otherwise, there will be no changes to the rules, so you can still post in a Scandinavian language, English or both.

Bridges on the move - I'd better go looking for a swing-bridge.

Hi Rune, Thanks for your comment, too!

Re "Dog Days" - Here in the U.S., hot summer days are referred to as "Dog Days." Since, generally speaking, August is the hottest month, August days are often the Dog Days of Summer. Hence, the panting dogs trying to keep cool during the "Dog Days" of summer.

I should probably write a post about how the word "dog" is used so much in the English language. "Dog fights" often refer to war planes fighting each other; people say they "worked like a dog" and that they are "tired as a dog."

:-)

Your new header is so inviting! (I liked the old one also.) Thanks for letting me know where to come when I participate in Bridges Between. . . will be tim for it very soon. Is there a new blogroll? I have found that many don't participate from the original one.

OK, Rune, my husband "corrects" me a bit. Dog days are called such because of the constellation of stars known as Canis Major, which is said to be the dog following the hunter Orion. The constellation is seen during August. "Sirius" is perhaps its best known star. Anyway, if you go to this link at Wiki, it will explain it all.

Your layout is very nice. I like the tall ships.

Dog days of summer. Not a pleasant time here in Ohio.
