A boat mooring revisited

Some of you might say that they have seen this mooring before, and indeed they have. However, I was not satisfied with the "rustiness" in the published version of the photo. Something had been lost on the way. After some technical info from Jim and John and some additional reading about colour spaces, colour profiles and what-not - a new trip to the quay with the camera seemed indicated.

I think I got it better this time. Even the knot on the mooring is better.

Love the texture of this picture, it tells such a tale of hardwork.

The texture of the rust is interesting in itself.

"ler"

Takk for kommentar på fotobloggen min. Jeg ble glad for den. .-)

I liked the first one better I think - here the rust seems TOO vivid - the effect I get sometimes if I photoshop a picture and make it "more colourful" - but this is a bit of a "snap" judgement as I haven't spent a LOT of time examinging the pics and I'm handicapped when it comes to seeing tones of red - to someone with normal vision the second is probably perfect.

Interesting -- I am not sure which I like better tho. Glad it satisfies you. That always makes it a job well done!
