Summer, sciatica and blogging

It is summer in the Northern Hemisphere (although with the odd shower), and thus an excellent time for taking pictures and maybe share them with others on a blog. However, there may be complicating factors: One may stay in a cottage with a limited bandwidth and one may have sciatica. For me it is both, but the first is the least troublesome. Sciatica is not too bad if you are in a vertical position (good for walking and taking pictures) or a horizontal position (good for you know what). Anything in-between is less fun. For instance editing the pictures, posting them and doing "the rounds".

After the last round of SWF I got a number of pleasant comments. I should have done a lot of visiting, but until then: THANK YOU ALL!

Sorry to hear you're not feeling too good at the moment - hope things quickly improve so that you're up and about taking more of your wonderful pictures.

Rest is best.

Now, that's a nice photo, Rune. It's got texture contrasts, good color, and it is SIMPLE. That's one things people forget as they learn more and advance: keep the composition simple; reduce, reduce, reduce until the whole is stripped to it's essence.

I'm on the road. This time in Western NC. It rained all day yesterday and it's raining again so it looks like another washed out sunrise. So, I'm catching up a bit with folks in the blog world.

Thanks for your comments on my posts. And, I am truly sorry to hear about the sciatica. I get that often when I've been on my feet too much and the soft tissue gets inflamed around those slipped disks. I know exactly how you feel, my friend, and hope you're back to normal soon.

Yeah--I love the door and window shot too. It's got texture, great light, patterns...

Will be back later and I have an Email to send you RE the files I posted for you.

Hi Rune,
Most excellent your new photographic machine, the lens attributes marvellously. The close-up this is splendid and the details obvious! For this photograph but also the all other. In my current post I have an award for you!
Congratulations!
