A grey day

Initially I had intended to use today's blog to show you some colourful flowers and other goodies from yesterday's stroll in the nice summer weather. However, that post will have to be postponed (a preview can be seen on my Norwegian blog...). Due to various problems I did not manage to get that one done, so you will have to settle for today's stroll. As you can see, there was not much colour or anything else to brag about. No sun - only grey skies.

And a lonely crow on a lamp post.

BTW - the photo is not in B & W!

Phew! Rune, the same here!
Horrible dark, grey day!
Fortunately I managed to take Wilma out for her walk but then all hell let loose!

some dreadful heavy showers here too (as bad as the one we experienced in Bergen!) between a few bright spells.

This would have made a great Sky Watch too. Thanks for your comments on mine. Your cropping ideas did not offend. I'd already cropped it some. Just thought all the birds were neat but I am always open to new ideas. i will try it. Thanks.

Oh my goodness! Truly a gray day. My computer won't let me spell 'grey' the way I want to since it is American and I am British born. I think it looks SO much better with an 'e'. I think your photo is still beautiful even without much color. The composition and overall effect are very satisfying.

Not black and white, eh? Striking contrast today to your header!

Have not been on a visit at your site since Wednesday. The blue photo is brilliant.
The grey ok if the seagull was gone with the wind

We have had nothing but hot and dry weather for the last 8 days... the weatherman has predicted another 5 days.... a little concerned for the forests as they are extremely dry and brittle and spot fires are breaking out everywhere.
I wouldn't mind a little rain this way! =)
Take care...

Flott fanget! Ja jeg måtte se flere ganger for å se at det ikke var i s/h. I dag har vi det helgrått her også. Det har høljet ned siden åtte tiden.

Ha en fin søndag.

A nice photo Rune. First I thought it was B/W, but then I saw some sort of brown on the pole. :)

Rain, gray, clouds. Sounds good to me. Imagine having six months in a row of only harsh sunshine, no rain, and heat like in Israel. Trade you?

The lonely crow fits in this shot perfectly..

You could have used that for skywatch friday, we have had sunny skies with temps in the thirties, but we had a wind storm that took out many trees last week.

I like gray days! Not always...but the are welcome every now and then...especially if they bring rain. We are dry here.

Good catch! No rain here for three weeks -- hurrah! I really like that photo -- might even be better than if it had blue skies.
