A wee drop


I found this icicle while I was out walking. I find it very difficult to take pictures of falling drops, but I always try.

I saw some information somewhere on the internet about taking photos of water drops, using flash seemed to be the way to go for some reason.

A flash would probably "stop" the drop drop more effectively than an ordinary shutter since it is very short indeed.

My shot was taken with 1/125 - far too short, as you can see from the oval form of the drop.

Next time I'll try both versions - 30 exposures of each...
