A nostalgic moment

I have invested in a new scanner; one that is also capable of scanning negatives and slides at an acceptable quality. I did a test run, and that of course led to a trip "down memory lane". This picture shows part of the old harbour in Bergen, including one of the former ships in "Hurtigruten" (The Norwegian Coastal Voyage).

Today the cranes are a thing of the past, the ships are renewed and moved to another location, and most of the area are enclosed in an ugly fence due to the so-called "Schengen-rules".

But I can see that my way of taking pictures hasn't changed much in 30 years...

I look forward to more of your nostalgic photos. Few years ago, I scanned most of my old b&w family photos.

Why change your way of photographing after 30 years if it works! :)

I like the composition of the photo. As the saying goes, "The more things change the more they stay the same." In spite of all of the technology we now have the actual process of taking a photo hasn't really changed all that much, in spite of what camera makers want us to believe.

Ia there a little animosity between Norway and Sweden, RuneE? Four letter word, you said in your comment on my post today.

Ah, now I understand your comment. Here they call a sexual massage one with a "happy finish".

Maybe it should be called a Finnish massage :>)

What a great idea I didn't know they had a scanner that would do all that. Heading home in lots of wind. sitting here in Denny's restaurant parking lot for the night being rocked by the high winds. Having wonderful wifi connection so i can try and do some catching up on my blogger friends
