Torvalmenningen

If any place can be said to be the heart of Bergen, it must be Torvalmenningen. It has been rebuilt after many large fires in the city, the last one in 1916. The Sundt-magazine in the middle/left of the picture is one of the best examples of functional architecture in Bergen. It was opened in 1938 and is now protected by law.
